A Lipstick Bandits Adventure: In Search of... the Universal Lipstick!

As Lipstick Bandits, we tend to fear nothing when it comes to lip products. We venture in the darker, brighter and most unusual colors.

Yet, sometimes, we do need something easy to fall back one. A color that will look great no matter what the circumstances or the outfit are. One that will put together any kind of look. And, possibly, one that will work all year round even if our skintone changes.
We need a Universal Lipstick.

And guess what? We found it!

Meet Viva Glam V!
Launched in 2004 to support the MAC AIDS Fund (all the money you pay for this goes to the fund), this is a natural "my lips but better" pink with a lustre finish, which makes it very comfortable to wear and doesn't require a lipgloss on top for some shine.

That is the one color that you can keep in your bag and fall back on at any time without thinking twice: it will work, no matter how much or how little you're wearing on the rest of your face.
A great color everyone should own, and for once, shopping benefits a greater cause :-)

Find out how the other Lipstick Bandits are wearing Viva Glam V!

And now, a little something special for my lovely readers!

To thank you guys for your support and for reading my blog, I'm giving away one brand new Viva Glam V lipstick!
This is open to everyone, although I'd appreciate if you're subscribed to my blog through Google or Bloglovin.
To enter, just leave a comment below explaining with what kind of look you'd wear VG V, and you have till Friday April 6th, midnight GMT (London) time to enter! Winner will be selected at random.

  2. Like Larie, I am obviously not leaving a comment as an entry :p.

It actually looks quite nude on you. I was wishing it would look more like that :).

  3. It looks pretty neutral IMO (my opinion might change if I swatched it) I'd probably wear it with a winged liner and a pink blush...

I've gone through all the lipstick bandits posts and must say that it does look different on everyone and also that I never paid much attention to it before. Good luck to everyone who enters!

  10. (Not entering just commenting <3) This is such a lovely cream pink on you! I've had such a wonderful time seeing how we've all looked wearing the color. It's fascinating how one color can look so similar and yet so different on everyone!

  11. {not entering} It looks so natural on you. I can't believe how differently flattering it looks on all of us :)

  12. Because VG V is a more neutral color, I would use it to compliment a strong eye look or a bright cheek.

  15. Looks so beautiful on you!
VG V looks like such a nice MLBB colour - so probably just simple winged liner for me or a neutral brown on the crease with some dusty pink blush :)

  16. I would wear it under a shimmery lip gloss with probably some golden eyeshadow with some black eyeliner. I like to stay basic.

  19. Umm HELLO? Nobody is entering? I don't own this so I'd love to win it!

I've posted this around the Bandits and I mean it - your posts are truly an indication that this lipstick is a chameleon. It has been stunning on everyone across the board, including you! I like how the brown in it turns up more on some people than others!

  20. i'd probably use it most often with my "everyday" neutral looks :)

  21. knowing myself and my confessed love for sleep, i would probably use it as a hint of color on my lips, a no-makeup makeup look with a bit of Mac Warm Soul Blusher or Peachykeen Blusher, a lick of mascara or just plain curled lashes. But i'm sure it would look great with a neutral smoky eye as well :)

Thanks very much for hosting the give-away it's a wonderful prize to be won!

  23. Hi, M!
The first (and only) time VG V met, it wasn't love at first sight. I ended up buying Mocha (which I adore). But then I start regretting not having VG V with me and considering the nearest MAC store is almost 1300 km away from me, I'd love to give this giveaway a try. ;)

  24. Hi, it's a great lipstick! I would use it with my everday makeup and also to compliment a stronger eye for a night out!

  25. Since my lips are quite thin, I think a universal lipstick like this one would look good on me no matter what eye make-up I would be wearing;though I'd prefer to pair it with brown eyeshadows for work.
Not to mention that it would be my first Mac product :).

  26. looks like it would be great for a natural look and a dramatic look! Thanks for the chance!
